We arrived at the Wananga in time for the Powhiri to happen before dark. Maori Culture is really beautiful in terms of its hospitality. Kaumatua from the Wananga both welcomed us and spoke for us. Elder Arthur Black is very funny.
Everyone was very moved by the experience and the Kai (food) following was amazing thanks to the community.
